TARGA files in 32-bit (16.8 million colors + 8-bit mask) format may be imported. TIFF files in Type 1 (no compression),Type 5 (LZW compression), and Type 32773 (Packbits compression) aresupported for import with export of Types 1 and 5, both using monochrome,16 or 256 colors/grayscales, and 16.8 million colors. The ITU (CCITT)Group 3 and 4 facsimile compression formats are also supported. XWD issupported in 16/256 colors without compression. EPS is exported in 16.8million color only.An image whose resolution exceeds the size of the window is partiallyvisible with horizontal and vertical scroll bars. Zoom modes of 25, 50,100, 150, or 200 percent may be selected. A status line shows the cursorlocation and percentage displacement, level of zoom, file type, colordepth, and compression mode. The complete product documentation isprovided via online and context-sensitive help. File rename and deletefunctions are provided. Thumbnails may be automatically displayed forthe contents of a specified directory or a list of the filenames may beshown. A desired file may be displayed in full screen mode by double-clicking on the file name or the thumbnail image. An image area may be defined with the pointer using rectangular, square, polygon, ellipse, circle, freehand, or spline modes; then cut or copiedand pasted, cleared, cropped, moved, reoriented, or sized; all with onelevel of undo. Clear removes the selected area. Copy and Paste moves acopy to the area to a new location while Cut and Paste moves the originalarea. Crop removes all portions of the image outside the selected area.Duplicate moves a copy of the area to a new location. Mirror inverts theimage around its axis. Rotate moves the image around its center.Image enhancement filters include Brightness, Contrast, and Sharpness. The size and color density of the image may be changed. The width andheight of the image in pixels may be altered, while the aspect ratio ismaintained or modified. Color reductions may be performed between anycombination of 16.8 million colors, 256 colors/grayscales, or 16colors/grayscales.
